By early summer i will have the Haun Motorcraft Stage 2 Turbo with a Methanol Kit plus a retune. The tuning place iv been going to says with some of the other small mods i may be able to squeez 300 WHP out of it but that will be my max and i wont be able to use my nitrouse until i build the engine up. Plus i would have to get a better axle and stuff like that. So the person who posted a thread about there G5 thats going to hit 400WHP i hope you builte everything to handle it because 300 is pretty much the safe zone so iv been told. This was also at 10Psi of boost with the meth mind you. As for the Hurst Shifter it says that its for SS/SC but if you go on crate enginedepot.com it states that this shifter can be used with the G5. And that it can only be used with the Mu3 transmission or something. So from this i take it that the G5 has the MU3 Tranny. I ordered the shifter today so we will see if it fits like they say it does when it comes in. But i did notice that the G5 is built a tad different so who knows maybe my G5 GT does have this tranny.

Hurst won't work with the G5. You might be able to hack it up and mod it to work, but the G5 transmission is not the MU3.

Correct G5 GT has the M86 trans.

I thought it had the f23 for a 5spd or the 4t40e for the auto.

Not the 07 for sure. I dont know about any others.

Same beast by a different name. f23 is the "name" given to it , but M86 is the RPO code.

Just like the SS/SC has the F35 as its name, but MU3 is the RPO code.

does any1 make sts for the m86 trans? i been wanting to get one but they all say that they are for the 2.0 only. which is bs if i had to say anything about it. not much offered for us 2.4 guys.

TWM or the Cosmo shifter.
