used clutch + flywheel
I got this flywheel and clutch off a member of the forum. He said they have 200 miles on them and are still in near new condition. I have a few questions. Can anyone verify that this is the FIDANZA Flywheel. It appears to be the stage 2+ clutch; however, it looks slightly different from the images I have seen. It looks the most like the 2+.
Here is the condition... Was it worth 400 for these. The disk the clutch goes against has several grooves. They aren't deep, but they aren't superficial either. The clutch has dark spots on the pads and rough worn ends on 3 of them. The flywheel has 3 dark looking marks possibly burns.
Anyway, I don't know much about clutches. It seems like a lot of wear. Plus, I can't find a close enough image of the flywheel to verify it is the right one and there are no labels on it. No offense to the seller. I'm only looking for input not complaining right now.

I still want to figure out if that actually is the fidanza. Are rough pads ruined or just worn? I need to get someone to check and explain the thickness too. Plan on checking it out this weekend. I take people's word for stuff. It was paypal, so if I get a positive on it being overworn, I will have them refund me the money; I love paypal. I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt until I know how much wear is tollerable though.

I checked with three other people. Two mechanics and my father, since I don't know much about clutches, but they confirmed what I thought looked wrong. They said the flywheel is warped and unusable from overheating and slipping. It also appear to be machined too low to reuse. The clutch pads are also overheated and worn to a level that they cannot safely be reused. I filed a petition with paypal and should recieve my money back shortly. That is why I don't mind online sales even with a clutch. I know I will get my money back if the product isn't what it should be.

Interesting, now paypal says they won't directly support the charge. This is because it wasn't done through e-bay. I have to dispute it via credit card who will contact them. I hope for this guys sake they handle it. I will contact him directly. If that doesn't work I'll drive out and get it my own way plus gas money. See paypal is dumb, they are about to cause a major incident by not stepping between.
