vin code help

the old lady want to get rid of her focus (thank god!) he really likes my car... so ill give her my car. so.. i might be getting a new car soon. if i can get a good deal on a "stick" LS or LT, i will (but id love to see if they can get me a SS).

In a nutshell... in the VIN is there a letter or # that means its a stick? im looking at some online & it just gives the VIN & no info if its an auto or not.

thanks!
Dave

The VIN does not tell transmission. The only way you can tell is by running the VIN# through the GM system, which non-gm employees cannot do, or ask them directly.
