Question What to do need some need input!

Clutches, clutches, clutches....

Where do I start?

I recently recieved my CM FX300 clutch and lightweight flywheel... June 21st the car went into the shop to get it installed they told me it would be done that day well it never happened and the first clutch never worked...The shop my car is at called CM and CM told them to send it out to them and they will send a even newer version out....

The newer version out and it still does nothing.... Mind you the car has been in their shop for almost 3wks...

They claim the car will go through 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th then when they come to a stop the it locks up and then they are at square one again?

I am fed up since I have been charged out the ass so far, and I have not had my car... I told them to go ahead and put the stock clutch in and give the car back to me...

Now should I call them tmw and see if they can do anything else with CM and get another clutch out here...

Tmw on my lunch hour I am gonna get on the phone with the shop and see what else CM will do....

You clearly have not read the over 300 posts on the CM clutches. CM had serious issues with their setup and worked very closely with 6-8 of us on this forum to resolve. I think all but one of us is in good shape now. The biggest issue now is that no matter whose clutch you use (even stock), if you do not get the system properly bled, you will not fully release.

theBLUEone, from what you wrote, it really sounds as if they do not have all of the air out of the hydraulic system. Is your car at a dealership or an independent garage? If at a dealership, GM did a less than optimal job of communicating the bleeding procedure to them, and they are pulling their hair out until they get it figured out. If at an independent garage, they are in a worse position than the dealers. 1. if they are vacuum bleeding the system, make sure that they are pumping the pedal vigorously 20-30 times while holding about 20 psi of vacuum in the system. Then release the vacuum after the bubbles are all gone and pump pressure up in the system (brakes and clutch systems). Repeat this process at least 4-5 times. That should get 95% of the air out and make the car very driveable. the other 5% will bleed on its own with use. 2. If they are pressure bleeding the system, good luck. I have heard of people getting the air out that way, but it is tough, because the slave cylinder sits about 3" lower than the bleeder.

Good luck and let me know how it goes. BTW, I have the FX300 along with their aluminum flywheel. I did all the work myself and learned by making all the mistakes because nothing was really documented well.
