Lsj + mp90 dynoed!

Just talked to Kevin. He said he is just waiting on interest to make adapter kits and modify our intake manifolds with the higher flowing intercooler cores.
So.................I'm going to send him a stock manifold and let him flow bench it and then work it, and flow bench it again so that we can kind of get the ball rolling.
Also, he said the MP90s are discontinued. Probably why you guys got it for so cheap. He said there isn't going to be many of them left. I'm still interested in what the TVS1900 will do.

Surprising as it may sound, I've owned ran 3 different headers in the near 4 year tenure I've owned this car. Point I'm trying to make is that I saw absolutely no change in boost pressure w/ a 1 3/4" to 3" collector shorty, stock manifold, and jbp noodle 1 5/8 to 3" formed collector.
What made the difference was the DP, whether it was high flow catted or catless. Whether it was 3" or 2.5", the difference was minuscule between the two. The gain was from changing to either one or the other from the terrible stock DP.
All I had to do was make 2 adjustments in my tune, and the car would of sat @ 300whp or higher yesterday. Money and time is what held me back... wish I could prove it, but you'll just have to wait.
Ralli you know we don't have E-85 locally out here! That's why I run a progressive 19gph w/m nozzle
Considering I have absolutely no experience tuning for this kind of blower and I'm facing/entering uncharted waters.
Those who see it as lack luster are ignorant for what potential is to come of this inexpensive setup.
(6500 rpm x 6.5" crank) / (3" s/c pulley) = 14083.333 S/C RPM a.k.a peak efficiency before over spinning. faaack I'm not even revving to 7000 rpm... I purposely ramp peak timing to 6400-6500 rpm and ramp down from there to make sure I shift before 6500 rpm.

As far the header go's, flow is part of of the equation scavenging affect is the other.
Al thought physically equal length ,all the random bends cause exhaust pulses to slow down so much so that you can even hear difference (why it sounds like a Subaru). That header basically breaks every rule of fluid dynamics lol.
<rant>
Aside from that ,i just plan hate the thing , it insights rage everytime i hear mention of it, the very concept is asinine.
Ok so the idea is to have a long tube ,thats the size of a shorty?
Now why would you want a shorty,
- to Keep the stock down pipe ? well the stock down pipe sucks ,it should be the first thing to go.
- Shorty are cheaper ? not this thing <for the price of a new one you could buy a mid length /down pipe combo, or even one of the few tru long tubes out there.
- Oh i see you want to keep low end Tq...but i thought the jbp was a long tube right ?
- easier to install?...
I just don't get why this thing exists it defies logic to me.
</rant> sorry about that.
Anyway its awesome to see someone actually trying something on their own on this forum, So many people are quick to bash with no basses when someone has an idea, with that kind of mentality nothing would ever be discovered. With only one real vendor out there developing and researching (I'll let you decided who that is ) we need more enthusiast out there trying new things to pick up the slack.

I'm still curious as to what the 1900 is capable of. But I fear it would have to be tested on a high flowing setup (modified intake manifold, ported head, high flowing shorty header).

Yea, I don't know about all that. He hasn't told me any of it was his. He told me that all of it was magnuson stuff.
I'm glad to hear you guys are going to try out the tvs1900 again though. I wish I was back in the states already to lend a hand.

It really is... This forum (generally) is very quick to bash something. Unfortunatel that's why this aftermarket moves @ a turtles pace.

We'll show it soon... We're better off doing a Skype conference for the unveiling of it.
I can just see the responses now on here about it... (examples: Oh... that doesn't flow... this and this is better... omg... i<3myjdmh/e)

Aww Im sorry its a Twin Vortices which has two rotating blades compared to the Eaton M90 with one. Your argument is shitty. A Turbo Cobalt with a few mods and a good tune would crush your LSJ with 5+K in it. Either way your supercharged 4 cylinder is garbage whether its an M45, M62 M90 M112 KB Twin Screw TVS etc etc etc, Turbo or broke on a 4 Cylinder that of which you do not have.

In my timing table, timing advance pegs 1.36 by 5100 rpm. Think this may be a large cause of why I couldn't extend my trq curve further out?
I have a 3.5" maf housing that I used when the the tvs1900 was on my car for this very reason.

Only ******* here is you, putting down a fellow cobalt enthusiast who's bringing something completely new to the table w/o any real budget/vendor for assistance. Congrats your +1 to the many who kill this aftermarket on a daily basis.
