I recently painted the silver trim pieces in my car red. It looks awesome with the red and black but the silver face on the a/c controls and the head unit look horrible... I was wondering if you could swap the head unit and a/c controls from the 07 g5 into a 06 cobalt because they come stock black. I searched and nothing came up rep to those who help thanx!

why not use a set of black ones from a balt?

you can find them on ebay pretty easy.

yes they do but most black ones are from ls models without mp3 but there is a mp3 version.... BUT you can swap just the "face" of the HU to any 05-06 one and it will still work properly. I did so when i gave me GF my mp3 player so she could have matching stuff

Alright i looked and found the black ones. But will the 07 plug into the 06 ?

are you talking about the hvac? because im honestly not sure. If the hvac is like the radio then no because 05-06 and 07+ models changed connectors for the radio but im not sure on hvac

If your only looking to change from silver to black then just find a 05-06 black hvac...
