This has been badgered to death I know, but I need a straight definitive answer on my particular situation...

Car is an 06 with the Pioneer audio system.

What's going in:

Pioneer double din HU
New front and rear speakers....will be running them from the stock amp.
2 new subs....will be running them from an aftermarket amp

For the speakers, is there anything special I need to do other then just swap them with the stockers?

For the subs...I understand I need to bypass the stock amp but I'm not sure how to do it...the sticky about it seems to be for the speaker amp...or are they the same thing? If anyone could shed some light on this for me it'd be great.

I'm installing this system for a coworker. The install on my 05 without premium sound was such a breeze...hope this one will be too or his rate just went up lol

no need to bypass the stock amp to do a sub amp. You can but not nessicary

So if I remove the stock sub, I can just hookup the aftermarket amp to the aftermarket HU via rca's and power/ground with nothing else required?

Is the bypass only for speaker amp installs?
