07 SS/sc pioneer amp wiring *Left Front speaker wires
I bought my cobalt a week ago and I'm in the middle of tracking down a wiring issue most likely a break in the left front speaker wire or some interference, I'm planning to cut into the output on the amp connector and run new wire and test a speaker and see if that solves my problem, ive searched and looked over the wiring for the amp but I'm not 100% sure if I have the correct wires or if I'm looking at the right connector on the amp, if someone has pictures of the connector with the wires labeled or can help with which wires to cut that would be great, thanks guys.

so i should cut the grey and tan wires on the smaller 16 pin connector and run them to a test speaker, and i noticed the pioneer speakers are all 2ohm would 4 ohm speakers work if i were to replace them all with new 4 ohm and what would it do to the sound? thanks for all the help Emperor.

alright thanks, im gonna test the wires that are already ran inside the door and go from there.
the door wires are not broken anywhere
so i ran some wire off of the grey and tan wires off the amp connector to the stock speaker and just got very low static when i turned music on,then i cut the wires from the head unit to the amp and tested the speaker and got nothing at all on 2 different speakers i tried, im lost at this point.
and i finally found a link to the correct pinout for the 07 pioneer system (https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/elec...-system-35819/)

and i was just re reading the headunit pin out over and saw that the wires i tested the speaker on were "low level audio signal" wires but shouldnt there still be some sound coming out of the speakers?

....I just tried it and it WORKED it was very very very low in sound but it was still there, so now knowing all that we do what does this mean, that the amp might be the problem? because when i cut the amp out puts for the left front speaker all my other speakers worked but when i hooked up the test speaker i just got the static?

yea the tweeter has been unplugged and the reason i brought up replacing the speaker was to get a little more sound out of the 3 working speakers that i have in the cabin so i dont notice the missing door speaker as much.
