08 Aftermarket Head Unit

Ok so i have had a Sony Xplod head unit for a while and purchased a double din install kit for 07 cobalts which i was told would work....but the head unit doesnt got back all the way it actually hangs out quite a bit ive got a year warranty on it so im wondering whether to make adjustments or what i can or should do in my situation

you have to take out that bar that goes across the back held in by 3 7mm bolts and cut the plastic covering that covers it

i cut it out.......now my key wont come all the way to the left out of the ignition my cd player doesnt even turn on now and my neons on the interior dont work.....WTF help please

yea my cd player was grounded to the bar previously and my neons lol idk what to ground em too now ?!?!?! lol even still that wouldn t cause my key to get stuck in the ignition lol gah all this crap happened at exact day fml lol

and u made sure to move the wires that were there out of the way? there shouldnt have been any behind the plastic and or bar

make sure you wiggle your steering wheel to make sure its not wheel locking the ignition...other people have had that problem tho...but anyways...you can just ground them to the metal near the passenger side fuse panel...pop off the kick panel and near the bottom of the fuse box you'll see a chunk of metal. you can ground there.

ok thanks and no we didnt hit any wires removing the bar ive had the key getting stuck in the ignition problem before but never had a problem getting it out i cant even get the car to kick into off mode like its not on ACC but its not all the way to the left either but the key will turn still to on and all that just wont go all the way to the left ive heard its a problem with the cobalt tumblers or somethin idk where it has problems reading when the car is in park idk

well i found a piece of metal under my steering wheel so i tried that and got my cd player to make a noise but its still not turning on idk whats up
