no offense but i can almost guarantee those don't sound as good as a w7. louder hell yes but from what ive seen on the net and looking at the specs they probably dont sound bad but i probably wouldn't call them good. ive never had the chance to play with them in person thou

Spg’s oval size is made that way to get the optimum sound output and sound quality... with its 3.5 inch voice coil and over 4 inches of excursion it can drop way lower than any 15’s could.... also look at its performance... How much does a W7 13 weight? Spg 27lbs, uses neodymium magnets which are way stronger than any ferrite magnets could ever be.... Also my Amps, sub and box, and panels are for sale, im building something different for the shop hit it up if your intrestred.

spg55 fits better in the balt. its like an oversized 6x9 lol. re xxx are nice.. you know the 13w7 has gone down in price you can pick up a used one for 400.. the spg55 is about the same price. on the weight of the w7.. oh gawd its heavy 52lbs. then the enclosure.. the lightest sealed enclosure i can find is like 25 pounds (mdf) so yeah you are talking about 75 pounds in the trunk not counting the amp. the amp has to be close to 15lbs. so you are pretty close to 100 pounds with wiring 0/1 gauge and caps if you go that route. ouch my 1/4 mile is dieing. damn whatever happened to orbis audio subs

spg is better in any application... if you haven't delt with one you cannot assume... and oby the way... spg SEALED BOX IS 1ft^3 sound quality port 2.1ft^3 and high out put 2.6ft^3
Im not just saying it because that what I have, from all the systems that we do and all the product we deal with this is by far the best sub... and something that is comparable to it would be a high high end dynaudio or focal and those are not even close to be in the same price range, Boston has way less invested into the product thus they can sell it much cheaper

for just my sound dampening alone Second skin audio says 247lbs, add in 2 heavy 15s,big ass box, 4 runs of power wire for the batteries(soon to be 5-6), 3 batteries, 4 amps ect ect

with stg2 and 2.9 pulley id be lucky to keep up with a stock ss/sc

I couldn't tell you which ones they were... He wanted 4 XXX 15's and didn't care about the bed of his truck being used up sooo we filled the whole thing up.

And yeah about your weight Emp. We did 3 Rockford T2 15's, 3 Rockford Big Power amps, 5 Batts, HO Alternator, and 5 sets of Eclipse Components, and others... That car is Slow as fuckkkk. Hyundai Tiburon.

so the old one had a double stack and the new one only has a single stack magnet on the xxx? is this the driving force in the old one being better?
