I WILL HAVE THE BASE 2007 RADIO ( UQ4 ) UP TOMORROW .

All of the wires are the same as the 2005/2006 radio , they are just in different cavities in the new 2007 connectors . The one thing that IS different is the antenna . The 2007's uses a Coaxial cable , the 05-06's uses 2 14v switched wires .

I thought i should add this image here. It's the back of the factory deck in a 2007 Cobalt SS/SC with the Pioneer system.
In the left plug, the pins are labelled 1 (top) & 8 (bottom) for the far left, and 2-7 (left to right) for the remaining top row, and 8-14 (left to right) for the remaining bottom row.
In the right plug, the top row is labelled 1-8 (l to r) for the top, and 9-16 (l to r) for the bottom.

So if you are looking for a wire harness, get one that looks like this!

Old post:
great info... and perfect timing too...
thanks

Boy that is pretty awesome.

Whats the address for GM readable online ?

Anyone know where I can find connectors for the head unit. Pretty much what I wanna do is extend the current HU connectors, so I can easily splice into the wires.

The site is password protected , any GM service tech can access it though . You can get the connectors at the dealer . Give them your Vin# and tell them you need then radio connectors .

Pretty sure on the XM ready . Check the part #'s at the dealer though . Pretty sure there all XM and Onstar ready , the cars without them just have blanks in the connectors . microElvis is adding factory XM to 2007 SS sedean and wanted the pinouts for the reciever .

I have the pinouts for the 05-06 XM receiver to if u need them . You need to correctly wire in the XM receiver and antenna . I wouldnt get back on here til tomorrow morning to post them though . I do believe if I remember the pinouts for the XM reciever are the same as 2007 .

What I did, was buy a gm xm Direct kit that has a receiver and modulator and antenna. The cables obviously do not fit, so I have to rig someting up.

Silver SS/SC, thanks man. You are one cool dude.
