2007 stereo in 2006 cobalt

will a stereo from a 2007 cobalt work in a 2006 cobalt? this is prob a stupid ? but i wanna kno before i buy the stereo?

Certain features will, but it will only have about 50% functionality, plus it's a LOT of work
