yeah, im just doing it to do it! if it sounds like crap ill just un hook one sub and leave it in there till i can re do the box. i have never seen or heard of a cobalt with three 15's so i wanted to be the first! i didn't get to work on it much today, just got three more rings cut out. im gonna have to get some more fiberglass matting before i do anything else.

thats best but not really what i meant. If the box is so big the air cannot go forward it will not sound loud at all. Hence why my box is facing forward. You still can face them back but in order to do so you must allow the air to be able to go into the cabin somehow. 3 15s is alot of cone area and have the possibility of moving alot of air.... if you trap it in the trunk its not going to be loud in the car at all

trust me man im pretty sure i have the loudest cobalt on the site

ill have to draw something up for you, im going to have a port from the trunk into the cab. im not doing this build on my owne, i would be screwing all kinds of stuff up if i was. lol. i have a pro audio guy helping me out. ill be doing most of the work myself but he is telling me what to do.

im going to start moving my rear seat release handels tomorrow. im gonna try to put them in the cab under or beside the back seat. any ideas??

here is a really quick paint version of what it will look like. the black box at the top is going to be my port into the cab. you think that will be big enough?

so this is a view from the back and everything is sealed minus the black part that will go to the front?

if thats the case thats no where near enough room. maybe one 12

also remember putting an actual port means you have turned your trunk into a glorified 4th order bandpass box. which isnt the worst thing if you think of it like that and tune the port correctly. otherwise i have a feeling your going to get a **** load of port noise and a wierd frequency peak/bandwidth

Have you done the math taking the driver enclosure volume requirements into account?

I know that it doesn't have to be exact, but it would suck to get the box done and have it
sound crappy.

gl tomorrow make sure u get ur guys to address that flow issue... if u get it worked out (which is at least half possible) it should do pretty well.

i'm gonna be putting in some work as well. nothing really tangible but preparing for a local comp... wish me luck!
