what are the stock speakers in the 7 speaker system, the ones in the trunk are what 6x9? 1 sub 2 tweeters? and what else im a total noob when it comes to this so as far as upgrading my best bet is to just upgrade the 6x9s? or what, any suggestions?

Me personally I use crutchfield to outfit my car and find out the speaker sizes and depths in each spot. Then I'll see what they have to offer but I usually know what I want already. I am a big fan of Boston Acoustic they have great products they do great with Metal and Rock but not so much with Rap and Hip-Hop. But after I find out what the sizes are and depths I just use Google or MSN Shopping to find the place with the lowest price. www.techronics.com has really low prices. As for what u should do it’s all personal preference as to the sound u want replacing the 6x9s in the back will offer some better sound quality and a little more bass however, to get the full effect you'll want to replace the 6 3/4 speakers in the door as well. It all depends on how in depth you want to get with your system but the 6x9s are a good start if you’re on a budget.

yeah i need some rock\metal speakers, i wanted to eventually throw in jl 12w7s in but thats after i saaaaaave up

The Stock speakers are: 6/9's on the rear shelf, 6.5" in front doors, .75" in front sail panels, 10" sub in trunk. You should have no trouble replacing any of these speakers as long as you stick to the same size, with the exception of the stock sub where you might have problems fitting another 10" in the factory enclosure do to the depth.
