Accessory wire...

Ok guys I just wired up a new head unit in my 08 Cobalt, everything is running good, had some problems earlier, but the wires were undoone...

Here's what I'm wanting to know...

the harness I got for my car doesn't have an ACC wire, I searched and found out I can tap into the wiper fuse and have no problems, but I looked in the fuse box and I have a wiper relay, no fuse... So what should I do now? I'm tired of losing my presets everytime I turn my stereo off.

I know there's another expensive harness I could buy, but I'd rather rig something up myself, seeing as how I just dropped $10 for the one I have now.

if you read the other thread you submitted you would have got the answer for this....as i stated about constant. The fuse box should have an ignition fuse in it for a couple of things , LOOK FOR .....SUNROOF,WIPERS, RAP SYSTEM, and in some occasions the factory door boots have a certain wire that says on until the door is opened IE (RAP system.)

Ok I had it wired into the ignition fuse, not good I'm guessing since when I turn the key off in my car the engine stays running till I open my door... I found the wiper, sunroof fuses, and tapped the wire in there, and it didn't seem to work.

Ok I fixed everything, it appears that it didn't have to do with the stereo as much as some of my fuses were missing that I needed, and there was a clusterfuck of problems, but I think I got them all worked out now... BTW head unit works great!!!
