Aftermarket H/U and FM reception problems
I bought the Metra 40-CR10 antenna adaptor (I have an 07, the 07 antenna is different than the 05-06)and used it to adapt my stock antenna to my aftermarket H/U.
Seems like a lot of stations are fuzzy and some of them don't even tune in now
I wrapped all metal parts of the adaptor where it clicks into both the stock antenna wire and the H/U with electrical tape as to stop any interference.. but still no luck.
Anyone have any thoughts/fixes or the same problem?

well heres my situation and maybe it will help yours... i had it installed and the stations tuned fine (maybe even a lil better) but after having it for a few months i wanted to clean up the wiring because it was a mess back there. anyway after taking off the electrical tape on stock part of the antenna wire and moving it some my reception went to hell... so i just pulled everything out (hu still connected) and started messing with the wire until the reception was clearer. I ended up having to have the antenna wire sitting on top of my hu for good reception.

Yea I was gonna pull it out some time this week and mess with it, and also check my connection in the trunk... I was moving the sub box round a lot trying to slide the carpet back in.
It'll give me an excuse to mess around with the chime and signal volume on the gmos, its way too loud at the moment.
+rep for helping me out yet again
