Aftermarket system help.

ok so ive read pretty much every post on the site about an aftermarket radio. after some careful consideration, ive decided to put in a system. so first, a friend bought me a belated birthday gift which was the dash kit from crutchfield.com.... which i recommend to anyone considering an aftermarket radio. i recived free instructions on how to dissemble the dash, with pictures. (also found instructions on here too). so anyway, im gonna paint the kit to match the dash, and im getting the alpine CDA-9855 deck, and my cousin decided to give me 2 12's (pioneer 450w impp....all it says on the subs). the only thing is, i cant seem to find the official model number so i can find out the exact specifications. i dont know which amp i should buy, and i dont want to rely on the word of the best buy specialist, because he had no idea what i was talking about. if any of you know anything about those subs, or what type of amp to buy, it would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have too much experience with Pioneer's subs but if the sub itself says 450 watts I would say this is max power and not a RMS power spec. Usually companies like to stamp the biggest number on their audio products which is not the number to go by when purchasing an amp. I would say don't get anything larger than a 500 watt amp RMS. When looking for an amp always go by the RMS number and not the peak power number. Kicker amps are very nice IMO. I would go check out their website and look at the KX series amps.

those subs are pioneer's entry level subs with entry level sound. You have a killer head-unit you have a ton of potential for your system!! I would sell the subs and get something that will nicely compliment your alpine head unit. But if your stuck on keeping those subs a JL e1200 will do fine with those, they dont require too much power.
