Alarm system W/ Door Poppers?
ok well here is the deal... ive done alot of sht to my car and after these fenders i want to get an alarm system put in, i know nothing about them so please enlighten me. I am looking for one with door poppers b/c shaving the doors will come soon too. I want an alarm system made for that so i dont need 100 key FOBs.... ive already got one for my neon... Also can i have door poppers and still have door handles b/c im not doing it all at once... what would be a good brand , does viper make something with this? also im not looking to spend alot so would it be better to buy a kit and then have it installed? or buy form the installer? please enlighten me

I haven't dealt much with door poppers but I would just goto the dealer and get them installed. They should be able to help you out as far as a good brand goes. As long as its an honest place. But the one thing I have heard about door poppers is that when it gets really could out they can freeze and get stuck. Kind like how your door freezes shut and is hard to open lol. But I dunno I just heard that it may or may not be true.

from what I know about alarms, (not a whole lot but some), Door poppers are a add on that you should be able to do to any decent alarm that has door unlock options. it's ussually a combination of opening the locking mecanizim and then pushing the door open, any competent shop should be able to do it.

viper is good and so is code alarm but they are over priced prestige alarm is the best bang for buck and they pay your deductible if your car is stolen. you can actuall hook your neons and door poppers up to the alarm remote the prestige with remote star has 6 buttons . you could set it up for unlock, lock, remote start, trunk pop, left door , right door, and for your neons you could use it where you press unlock twice and they come on if you need hep installing i could help you

i would personally do viper. and yes u can do usually up to 4-6 aux. on a remote. from door poppers, trunk pop, window relays, pretty much anything. just the installer needs to know how to do up relays..yes i am one. i current did my friends SS/SC with alarm,keyless entry, trunk pop, and windows(that go up and down with the remote). go to best buy or some store like that. i work for them....maad good installers. we kno our ****..plus yeah i know too much bout our cars...get at me with any questions if u need b

Yeah I agree with the lock button, since you will no longer have door handles, you can remove the lock altogether and use the locking mechanism output for the door poppers

well ill have handles for a couple months while i save up to shave my door handles... then after that i could just reprogram my unlock for "popping".... idk if i want to do custom hood or shave my doors first cuz ive seen neither on a balt besides Badg1rl who i am folling in her footsteps, i already got my fenders from her.... not copying but imn going as original as i can like her, alot of custom sht
