Larger than required wire isn't going to cause a problem. I'd still try powering (fused)/grounding it directly off the battery to rule out your wiring, especially the ground. Check the manual for the amp and if the remote turn-on can accept 12-14 volts you can temporarily jumper that off your fused power wire from the battery to rule that out.

so i tried it all again and i did try different wiring and im not sure if thats what made the difference but i did notice that it is my RCA's that create alot of the noise when the car is running (alternator whine) there is still some noise just through the speakers but i guess thats to be expected. another day i will either rerun the RCAs to see what their deal is but for now im gunna have to such it up cuz i dont have the time.

Nice! yeah im too lazy at the moment to do anything with the headlights like i had planned. Got way to much on the go besides that haha
