amp problem

I have an audiofonics ADF-241 2-channel 1000 watt amp with a pioneer DEH-P3100UB hu it has two pre-outs, sub and front. I have two MTX 10" subs, they are like at least 3 years old. aWell i installed everything yesterday and was working fine. I went to the gym and when i got out i turned the car on and noticed that the subs were no longer hitting like they were. There is still a signal going to the subs but they just dont seem to have power to make them hit. I did notice that the green power light is on but it has three blue lights on top which also say power and these do not turn on. I did notice that those blue lights would go on and off depending on how the bass hit. I know i need new subs, but i dont know whats going on with the amp.

i do have one and ill check the voltage. I should see about 14 or so on the power, but what about the the ground and the remote. Also i have the power and ground directly to the battery, this is ok right? i mean the battery is in the trunk so i dont see why i cant do that.

yeah your good...you should see no voltage on the ground if you do its a bad ground, remote should be 12v when key is on and 0v when key is off. to test for a good ground set the meter to continuity or the thing with waves or audio waves should give you a beep! you put one lead to a good ground in the car or battery and then one to your wire , if it beeps your good.

so then if i have the correct voltage going to the amp, does it mean that my amp is out or that the speakers may be going bad. Also, when i change the RCA preout signal from subs to full range speakers, they seem to have more power to them or at least bump better. So i dont know if it may be the headunit, but that is brand spanking new or the amp or the speakers or i dont know. But i am determined to figure it out. Maybe ill go to best buy and have them test the amp with the hope that ill get a new amp from them, but then again they may just say its no good and have me buy a new one, so we will see.
