amp problem.. please help!!

amp problem.. please help!!

well i just noticed that my sony amp turns on when the car is on and then turns right back off..i just checked the connections and everything is good. does anyone have an idea of why its doing that? its been also making noise so i dont know whats going on with it. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

do you have a Cap? disconnect it .

no i dont have a cap.. but nevermind..i dont know why it was doing that but now its fine.who knows why it was doing that. thanks for the reply though.

could be a lot of things, what is the wattage of the amp, size of power and ground wire...ohm load of speakers

Sounds like you weren't getting enough power or ground if it is working now. Possibly a loose cable somewhere.

your amp might be going into protection... try retuning your amp at a lower gain... that should help... or it might be that you have a blown sub...
