amp/sub

i was looking at getting amp and subs to complete my system
best buy has had this offer for a while on and off and i was wondering if this setup is any good

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....0&type=product

i mean i have an amp here that my sister used with her system and i was thinking about getting this alpine sub/box combo they already have at best buy im not sure the model of it but there alpine type R subs

the amp i have here is a JL audio E1200

if anyone can tell me if that Rockford Fosgate setup is worth to get
or what subs would be good to go with that JL amp that'd be great
id like to get 2 subs either 10 or 12 doesn't really matter

its not the greatest setup, i think going with the amp you have and the alpine setup would be better, i work for bestbuy and lately the P1 rockford subs have had an issue with seperated voice coils!

looks like just speaker wire! you will need an amp kit ,8 gauge should be fine , looks like thats all that amp could take, and if you have a factory radio you will need an LOC line ouput converter. what year model balt do you have?

its a mono amp
go with a 12inch dual 4ohm sub, like the alpine type r, and a box would work good with that amp.

yeah i work for bestbuy, the sub it 229, if you go with that you might want to get it somewhere cheaper. but usually that results in no warranty.

i like 1, keeps it nice and clean, and you can keep some trunk space.

yeah i don't want my trunk to be all filled

im thinking about just throwing together a setup on crutchfield
my friend sent me a link to this polk audio sub

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_107DB10...db1040DVC.html

that a box and an 8 gauge amp kit is only around 229 which is pretty cheap

I priced all of my car audio components on crutchfield came out to 1300... then went to amazon. Trust me. free 2day shipping if you sign up for Prime and atleast 40% off everything. For what you wanted to pay for that box at best buy you could get Kickers probably for cheaper.

polk makes nice subs but if you are looking for excursion i would go with boston acoustics a little more but definitely comparable to jl audio subs.

yeah you could do that, or just pick one up at a local shop.
