The box does make a big difference, moreso if your going vented.
Just have a local shop build one to spec for you, this way it will be built to run the sub you have ensuring you get the most out of your sub, port lenth, and box space make up a huge difference when it comes to subs.

yeah im thinking of taking that amp i have and hooking it up to my sisters subs. because they have been sitting in my garage for about 4 years and haven't been touched. i dont think she has any plans to put them in her car so i might just take them and that amp and hook it up

Those are good subs.
I had 2 of them running off of 2 Phoenix Gold QX2180's in my civic for a while.
Sounded real nice.
IMO, Just go with those subs, cheapest way and they pound pretty good
Added-I just took another look at the subs, there 12's right?
If there 15's you might have an issue fitting them in the trunk, but it can be done, you might have to take your back seats out to get them in there though.

yeah there 12's
i tryed briefly to put them in the trunk but didn't have much success
but i didn't really try either
i think ill be able to get them in if i put the back seats down and do it that way
that sub and the amp i have will be fine right
it wont blow my speakers or anything
also what gauge amp kit should i get? 8 or 4

I would go with a single alpine R 12in. 4omh. Make sure and match it with a amp that has rms around 500W. If you don't it will suck and won't last nearly as long. Also if you build a ported box to Alpines specs, this sub will be one of the loudest and clearest you will hear. I had mine for almost 3 years and never had a single problem. Also no one I ever met had a sub as loud while being as clear. Just my 2cents tho.
