Amping the factory sub
Would this be possibvle or even worthwhile? I think that sub would be enough (factory 10") if I got decent amp and used a line-out converter. Eventually I would put in 2 new 12's, but in the meantime, would this be possible?

On this note...is the only thing boosting our speakers/sub an amp built right into the deck itself or is it somehow built into the sub casing? I'd be curious because 250W seems like a lot for just a deck amp considering most are 50W x 4 and the we'd still have to run the sub. I haven't been able to find any number on this anywhere either.
As for boosting the factory sub I'd be really careful with it because god only knows what's been changed. I saw the exact sub in our cars in a store the other day and I'm sure it could handle more but not sure how re-working the speaker output would go.
