Amping up 6x9s

Howdy. Since I'm strapped for cash, but still looking to improve my stock system a bit, I want to use some stuff leftover from my truck's system. I have an 09TC which comes with the pioneer system.

I basically just want to run a set of aftermarket 6x9s off of a 2ch amp that I have lying around, and possibly power the stock sub with another 2ch amp that I have lying around --- all using the stock head unit.

So my questions are:

1. Does the stock amp power ALL of the speakers in the car, just the sub, or just the sub/rears?

2. Can I just disconnect the stock 6x9s, stick a LOC on the stock signal wires, run RCAs from the LOC to the amp, and then connect the speakers to the amp? Or would that be too easy and the stock amp still poses a problem for me here?

3. Assuming #2 works I should be able to follow the same procedure for running the stock sub off of another aftermarket amp, right?

I read the stickies, but I'm still a little cloudy on whether or not the amp bypass procedure applies to this situation since I haven't seen it specifically brought up.

The 6x9s are Sony xplode 3ways and I have 2 2ch phoenix gold amps, 400W and 500W. I'm not sureif I can use the one for the sub though, I haven't checked if it can handle 2ohms or not.

It's not going to be a massive upgrade by any means, but I find the stock rears to be a little weak

damn... um go for it i guess. im just thinking of the work v benefit ratio. It should be an upgrade but doing both amps and all that is gonna be a bit of work

Haha yeah I hear ya. It's also just a project to work on so I dont mind the work aspect. Plus if I want to get some better speakers in the future I'll just have to pop them in.
