AMPS FOR THE SS Super. ALTERNATOR?

hey, i was wondering if anyone knew what the amperage rating on the stock 2.0 SS Supercharged alternator?...and if anyone knows of high output one that will fit on it. Thank You!

I'm 99% sure its 105 amps. As for the high output alt..... good luck, if you find a decent one let me know.

you can always get a used one and take it to an alternator shop and have them rewind it and install better diodes. i know they can get the 2.2l alternator up to 125 amps.

rewound alts usually are less reliable then a new one. but ya i dont think theres any reputable companies making alts for the 2.0

i know they have some HO alts for the 2.2 cavalier, but not sure if it would match up with the cobalts

ya, i'd look around. i checked for my old LT3 2.2 and only found one that was like $500!!...

ya alts usually run quite a bit of cash especially if they arent a "universal" type of alternator
