Another BASS Question.

I have a 04' Balt LS w/ the Pioneer system. I had a guy install my aftermarket HU w/ Alpine EQ, subs and amp. I'm noticing the higher I go w/ the volume the lower my bass gets. I've had this system in two of my past cars and i know it hits much harder that it is currently. Here is one question..instead of by-passing the factory amp, the guy simply removed it. Will that make any difference in the sound quality or possibly how this system sounds?

Any input will be greatly appreciated!

TIA.

he shouldnt have removed the factory amp because those were powering your speakers

maybe your electrical system cant keep up with the power your subs are using that why the bass dosent get louder? how many watts are u running and what gauge wire do u have

I have a Pioneer HU.. I have a 4 ch amp running everything. I know its not a power thing , like i said, i' ve had this system in a few different cars and i know how it SHOULD sound...but something just isn't quite right.

I'm not running that much wattage. I'm running 2 10'' Fosgate P3's maybe 100 watts rms..if that.

Nah.. its noting like that. I'm looking for more info pertaining to removal of the stock amp. I see all this info on by-passing it. Not much on removal.

I dont think its gonna matter if its been by-passed or taken out. Both ways your not using the factory amp your using the new 4 chan. The new amp powers the speakers old one does nothing.

Maybe its the hu i'd say try swapping it out and see what happens. Have you looked at your eq settings?

Which way are your subs facing in the trunk???.......if they are facing toward the front of the car then turn them around to face the rear of the car........when i first had my 12W7 in the car it was facing forward and sounded terrible......turned it around and was a million times better.....without going into technical ****, its got to do with the distance from the sub to the listening place (front seat)......try it if yours are turned the wrong way, you will more than likely be very suprised at the difference.......Later.

its possible and very likely the pioneer is blown. Try touching a wire from the jacket of the RCAS on the deck to the deck chassis and see if you notice a difference in sound
