are any of these subs good?

give us your price range, what equipment you still need, what equipment you have already. and what you going for. either tight clean bass, or louder and a bit muddier.

dual sucks and esp for that price. we sold the last of those models at work for $60 a pop when they were on clearence. needless to say they sold quickly. im not a big fan of kicker there loud but dont like the sound they give you. i've had type x's before now currently have rockford fosgate P3's. love both of them don't go cheap you'll regret it

im 16 and NEVER went through the cheap ****. (but i did buy my Jl's for $50 for both lol!) but i was gonna save for a kicker sub at the time and was about $150 for just the sub. but remember its quality not quantity. so you could get a cheaper sub that sounds a lot better than a $600 sub. i tell ya what some of the better subs i have heard are Rockford Fosgate P3. or an alpine type R.

buy a re audio sub, 1 12" will beat 75% of the systems in your area on clarity and on just straight beating down the block, its gonna cost you a lil more but you wont have to update it for atleast 20 years
i also recommend DD (digital designs)

I was going to stay out of this thread because everyone has there own opinion/likes/taste.
With the exception of a small comment by one of the new members I can't understand why DD hasn't come up.
If your looking for good clean sound at a good price the DD 2512's are where its at.
Now I'm not saying there the best, I haven't had a chance to listen to the RE's yet but I'm sure there better. This is what I know the price on a JL 12w6 is about $500-600 (can) these I have listen to, now I bought my 2 DD 2512's for $600 (for both) and I'll take them over the JL's any day of the week.
BTW- The rockfords P2's and P3's are good subs as well. I put one 10" P2 in my buddies Cavalier with a 300 watt JBL amp and it pounds. I personally prefer the old Fosgate stuff but some of the new stuff is really good, all things being equal some of the old stuff sucked too, the old series 1 fosgates were **** but the Punch XLC were the **** so take it for what its worth
Oh yeah who said Xplodes FTW? You need to be taken out back and have some sense beaten into you, plain and simple
