Any way to lock car without alarm

Just as the title says. Is there anyway to lock the car that wont set off the alarm when you open it without using the keyless entry?

My keypad will lock the car, but the unlock button no longer works. This sets off my car alarm everytime I open it by key then. I have tried locking it manually with the inside locks and key, however it doesn't work.

As it sits now, the only way into my car without setting of the alarm is keeping it unlocked.

turn the alarm off. the blinking red light in mine is also the button to shut it off, hold it in for like 5-10 sec with car on and it should shut it off. i think it become a solid red light when its off

hmm..wonder if braulio could do it?

Manual key locking sets it off. So the beep when locking twice sets the alarm. Thanks.

Don't use the power locks to lock the doors. Push the actual door lock knob down and try that. Just like old school before power locks were invented, haha.

resolder the battery hold down back the board normally all that ever goes wrong with them

EDIT: just so happens i had one to take some pics of. you just have to re solder all three tabs to board and its fixed. no reprograming needed.

There should be at least 2 settings on it. It's prob on tha highest setting now because you have to press tha button on tha fob twice, which in turn unlocks both doors (or all : sedan). On tha highest setting it will set off tha panic alarm if you pop tha door because it basically thinks your breaking into tha car because tha other / all other doors are locked. Just do as above says and play with DIC in your car... you'll learn something and be surprised with tha results as well

When in doubt check your owner's manual!!!

My unlock button on both my remotes stopped working at about the same time probably a year ago. Seems alot of people have just the unlock button stop working or the solder for the battery breaking.

Sounds like a defect to me. The other day my roommate borrowed my car and I forgot to tell him to only lock the door manually. I dont think the lock button on the remote works anymore cause I couldnt get it to lock the doors when I tried. I had to pull the horn fuse cause the alarm wouldnt stop even after unhooking the battery for 8 hrs. Now the hazards will start flashing randomly but the rear blinkers stopped working a month ago so just the fronts flash.

yes and it will still go off when driving down the road. since the other day even if the car is left unlocked the alarm will still go off but I have the horn fuse pulled.

not my car

Although ever since I switched pcm's with an 06 trying to trace a tps code I have to hold the key to start it as it takes like 5 secs to start when cold and kinda sputters when starting but otherwise runs great. I now have another 05 pcm in the car and it still does the same thing. Maybe my starting issue is causing the alarm to not turn off.

^^this. I made it so my lights don't turn on when I unlock my car. You can also disable the flashing side markers when you lock/unlock, even turn off the horn notification when you lock it twice. But I don't know about the alarm.

just hit the power lock on the inside once. the beeping is the delayed lock feature. takes about 10 sec AFTER the doors are all closed for the locks to... well lock.

If you dont want the delay feature go play with you DIC like the above poster said. you can turn it off on the DIC to lock right away. either way this wont activate the alarm.

I had to do this for a week while i wated for the dealer to get a hood switch in because it got wet and set the alarm off when it elt like. at work 2 in the morning etc
