Anyone have Pioneer NAV ??

Been doing some research, and have been looking for the right nav unit. Have made my mind up and want to get the Premier AVIC-F90BT. I'v never had any expierence with double din installs, or dvd screens, im curious to know what all i need to hae a nice clean install. This nav system seems pretty bad ass, i can change the button color to yellow or any other color and also has 4V pre-outs wich should have nice SQ for the low's. Can i adapt my factory XM to the new unit, or do i need to get the pioneer crap, also i kno ill be loosing my steering wheel controll's... any way around that ?? Car is an 07 BTW.
Also if anyone has the same or simmilar unit, id like to know how you like it and could i see some pics of how it looks in the dash?

Here is a picture of the F900bt wich almost looks the same as the F90BT only diff is It saiz PREMIER in gold instead of pioneer

here ya go...

Heres what i'v got so far.....Now its time to finish it off with a nice NAV unit

I use crutchfield to purchase my audio equipment, because you have an 07 you are going to need a specific wire harness, i believe a GMOS LAN-4. As far as the XM you will need the pioneer adapter, as well as the steering wheel control adapter. If you have basic questions on how the DD installs, i have done quite a few on different cars. As far as more specific technical help i would PM EmperorJJ (sorry spelling)

Also what sub is that in your stock box??

Thanks, I get the crutchfield catalog in the mail the only thing is they can be more expensive on some things. The stock sub box has a tag on the back that sais 2ohm+2ohm, and when i removed the stock sub from the box it was dual voice. So I ended up finding a mint Kicker CRV dual 2 ohm, so it worked fine with the stock amp PLus it matched my L5. Had to do some cutting and fiberglass work to get the sub to fit, the magnet was to large..... So do i need some kind of adaptor to mount a double din in the dash like i would with a single din radio ?

They have it on sale....

Well i had to cut a hole in the bottom of the box for the magnet to drop through, then i had to take my dremel and cut the diameter of the round hole bigger. Also had to cut allot of plastic fins out of the inside of the box, I used fiberglass mat and resin to form a dome around the magnet in the hole that i cut, so i now have a round dome that sticks a good 2.5 inches out further on the back side of the box. It just fit's, the dome it hits the carpet behind the box when mounted.

You will need a double din mouting kit as well

If i were you, i would purchase through crutchfield. The LAN harness alone is about 150 and they give you half off and they give you the antenna adapter, mounting kit and full car specific instructions

Yea seems like a bad ass unit, i dont need xm either, i use my iTouch for music 90 percent of the time. Another thing i thought about is the factory amp, will that still function with the new radio?

Yes, as long as you get the GMOS LAN-4 harness it works with the Onstar, Door chimes and Pioneer system

Ya, it isn't glossy but they seem to be more dim because of the camera. But it looks good if you ask me

Exactly, there is always a way around that! you can also play videos through the SD card slot. The one other difference between the two is that the 900 has the msn option where you pay a monthly fee and at will tell you different things like gas prices and what not
