anyone know which wire is the +12v ign for the radio?

I wired up a FM Modulator this past weekend, which involved finding a +12v and a gnd. I probed the back of the radio with my test light, but could not find a +12v that was controlled with the ign switch. Then I found a wire that was installed by the previous owner and cut and taped. I checked it and it was +12v switched. So I wired to that, and reinstalled everything. The problem is that when I turn the key off, the modulator turns off, but the radio stays powered until the door opens. Not a big problem, except when the modulator powers down, there is a loud burst of static through the speakers, and it annoys the hell out of me. Any suggestions on where I can get a power source that will allow the modulator to stay powered anytime the radio is. Thanks.

I looked at this, but not sure which of the wires is going to give me the desired result. I am wondering if the radio off is a signal sent over the GM LAN line? Any help would be appreciated.

yes there is no switched accessory wire in our harness. its all done thru gm lan and i would highly recommend you dont tap or mess with that at all. its very sensitive and replacing the bcm isnt going to be fun if **** hits the fan

Use a fuse tap to the sunroof fuse. retains the rap and doesnt **** over your whole electrical warranty

Thanks, I thought I was losing my mind when I was probing the harness. I will check out the sunroof fuse.
