Otherwise if you are truly pushing that much power then a second battery is a much better option. Ive always viewed caps as crutches and often times they dont do much at all.

Ive been to many of the local db drags and soundoffs I dont think ive seen a cap in a single vehicle there. Lots of 2nd 3rd and 15 battery setups though

I plan on buying this Audiobahn A6004J 800W Car Amplifier + 8 Gauge Amplifier Kit + Cap

To power:

Front: Alpine SPS-600C Type-S 6-3/4" component speaker system — fits in 6-1/2" or 6-3/4" openings - Features & Specs at Crutchfield.com

Rear: Alpine SPS-619 Type S 6"x9" 3-way car speakers - Features & Specs at Crutchfield.com

And for sub: Rockford Fosgate® - P3SD210

Sub amp: Rockford Fosgate® - R500-1

Now all that plus 5 aftermarket gauges, HIDs and aftermarket h/u and anything else electrical in the car like power steering, will my brand new optima yellow top battery be able to handle all this load? Will the capacitor that comes with the audiobahn amp be enough that I won't have to get another battery? I can barely afford the whole system as it is, I'd really hate to have to get another battery. lol And the cap comes with the amp so I might as well use it.

** car is daily driver system is not for competitions **

thats a hard question to answer. short answer is it should be ok ur not getting anything giant anyway BUT the cap is bullshit and the 4 chan is ghetto too

you could easily take the 4chan, cap wiring combo out replace the speakers with more efficient ones for just a lil more then the alpines, get the same kicker wiring kit and save urself a good 200 but thats just me (better sound and less electrical strain too)

-_- i just spent 3 days figuring out my audio system. (yes again cause originally i wanted the rockford set up if you remember lol) Would you like to rebuild my system (excluding sub and sub amp which I have already) with front and rear speakers and amp you think might be a better set up? I'm not looking for holy hell loud I just wanted a little upgrade from factory without spending a ton of money.

sorry... nothing u have is bad persay but if your worried about electrical problems why not just run better speakers and eliminate the 4 channel amp all together.

i can guarantee you that a set of hertz energy 6.5 and 6X9 coax will sound better then the alpines and get just as loud on an aftermarket radio (that isn't bullshit)

no most dont need to be amped at all. a comp set normally prefers it because they arent efficient but in all honesty people buy comp sets bc they are supposed to be better. and while they can be alot of them arent really and its a net loss persay vs the coax equivalent when u factor in the efficiency

I just want the component cause I have tweeters stock. If I get those alpine speakers and leave them unamped think they'll be loud enough with the h/u's built in amp with 50w x 4 even though the speakers RMS is 80-85? 50w won't be under powering? I don't wanna crank it up to 35-40 vol (which I have to do right now for it to be decently loud stock fronts and blew rears replaced with these stock sub and factory amp) and they blow yanno lol I checked out hertz but the website was really confusing and I can't find them on online car audio or crutchfield

If you don't want the cap to stay all on the time, keep a screwdriver on hand and short out the terminals when your not using it. Lol.

Trust me, I'm an engineer.

rms ratings on speakers is much different then on subs. mainly because more people will properly install them / set settings ect vs subs but also because its easier to hear problems if they arise. so yes its fine to run them off the deck.

and in comparison hertz energys are a Ferrari and those pioneers are a pedal bike
