Hows it going? quick stupid question. i have a pioneer avic n2 and i just ran all the wires and hooked up an amp and sub. the amp is getting power but i have nothing coming out of the subs, i checked all wires and they are connected properly. Do i have to unconnect my factory sub even though its not on any of my av ports?

Check and make sure your + and - speaker wires are correct (polarity) if you have them reversed (even check inside the box) the subs will still play but they will seem like there only giving a fraction of the output they should be.
What amp and sub do you have?
How are you running it (4ohm, 2ohm, bridged, stereo)
What do you have the gain set at?
What is the x-over set at?

Only thing different is the headunit?
Check to make sure you have the RCA's running off the right output.
Someone else had an issue like this. I think he had to unhook the RCA's from the sub out and move them to the rear out, I think it had something to do with only having 1 set of RCA's running off the back of the deck, I'll try to find the thread.
In any case Good Luck
