Exclamation Autometer Wideband

Ok, everything is installed, gauge powers up, and goes through it's heating cycle. Idle AFR reads about 14.9-14.5 (stock tune)

Now, when i drive, it doesn't read beyond those ranges. Like it stays within the same 14.9-14.5 as if it were still at idle.

The power wire is connected in with my boost gauge power, and the ground is in a good clean spot.

any ideas?

nothing. it's weird, it'll read the same range even when the car is in run, but not on.

coasting in gear should be aroun 15/16/17 depending, idle in the mi-high 14's because that's stoich, and under wot like 11/12 depending on the tune.

sensor is placed on the driver's side of the dp, about 3 inches down from the header/dp connection,

yep, gauge says the same range of numbers regardless of what i do.

before the cat, if you have one?

Thats really odd, if the sensor wasnt working right, it wouldnt read at all it would stay at 14.7 and not fluctuate

That or your stupid lean LOL

Wiring between the sensor and the gauge is the problem. Gauge will read 14.7 if its getting absolutely no reading from the gauge, or else it doesn't have a good ground.

Moved the ground, soldered the ground wire to a nice thick washer, and bolted it back in line with a good known ground. still no change.

I'm still leaning toward something between the sensor and the gauge. I imagine you don't have another sensor to swap out. The only other thing I would suggest is try a sniffer or another wideband to eliminate it as the problem. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
