Aux port

So when I had my my aux cord in my radio, I hit it by accident and now it only plays music on the back speakers. Any way of fixing this?

Just a guess, but maybe you somehow changed the radio settings to only play/fade to the back speakers.. I don't have the stock radio for awhile, but I think you just hit tune knob and it'll allow you to change the speaker settings.

Tried all that, I think its the metal sides in the radio that touches the cord to play sound. I wonder how I can fix it without taking the radio apart. I would get a different dash but that wiring harness is too much money.

You could just replace the stereo itself.

Why would you need the dash?

i think he means a new aftermarket radio.

regardless the only cheap method would be opening up the old radio. and thats assuming u dont break it. a new stock radio will also cost the programming from the dealer + however much the unit is

aftermarket will cost unit, install and installation pieces

You might be able to swap faces on a stock unit to avoid having to do the reprogram. but im not sure how possible that is

My plan was to just change out the stock to another stock one but programming will cost me. Just seeing anyone knew a secret to fixing this without taking everything part. Guess I gotta take it apart and hope for the best.

on the 05-06 radios the "face" comes off and if thats the case u can swap that without worrying about the programming charge. BUT idk if thats the case with the newer radios

Face comes off 07 & 08's. Jack is on it's own seperate circuit board so you might be able to just solder in a new jack.

if thats the case, id check to see if its the jack or the solder joint that failed first. good chance the jack is intact but the solder joint is busted

If you need to remove the circuit boards from the faceplates, the knobs stay attached to the boards so it is easiest to push the knobs in rather than pulling on board.
