b_faulk's trunk install, with pics, subbox/airride Dialup death!!!
Hey guys, i have been meaning to post a few pics of my recent audio redo. You can check my gallery to see the way my sytem used to be laid out. But here is the new system layout. Basically i added an air suspension this year and did not want the tank and compressor taking up what i had left of the trunk so i redid everything. The sub box and amprack are partial mdf, partial fiberglass, i wish i would have took more pics during the install but atleast i have a few. The box was actually mudded and sanded to near paintable quality before carpeting, i just decided to carpet for this season, may go back and have it painted next year, but no more time now. Tell me what you think so far. The only pic i can find right now of the box but it was wrapped in fleese the covered in about 10 layers of fiberglass resin and mat, then duraglass, the evercoat gold, then carpet. and for all those who hate cause all i do is audio mods, i'm finally working on the engine compartment, lol also getting my bumper fixed. Also added a screen and speakers to the trunk lid.

Thanks guys, it was my first attempt at any fiberglassing and it was alot of trial and error but the outcome was great. I still have some detail work to do in the trunk and i need to decide what to use to lay over the hole in the floor so i can use my trunk. I had a peice of 1/2 inch lexan over the hole before, i may put it back but i want to do something different with it, like cut out a design in it or something. I am also worried about the compressor getting to warm and warping it. I thought about having a metal grid made out thick wire, then have it powder coated or something, oh well i'll figure it out later. I'm just doing some detail work under the hood, polished valve cover and a few small mods right now, i really want a turbo, just don't have the cash, that air ride wiped me out, lol.
