Bad Factory Radio Reception

Alright so my dad was driving in my car the other day and we were driving listening to an FM radio station and it wasn't coming in very good and he said his would perfect in that area. It got me thinking and I realized I have poor reception in my factory unit. Does anyone know what would be the cause of this?

Thanks

You can always check the antenna connection at the back of your unit to insure it is secure...I am also assuming that you have not 'modified' the factory antenna right?

FM reception is crap on mine too. Wifes Taurus picks up solid signal at 140 - 160 km's, my 'Balt is dropping out at 60 - 70 km's. Asked the dealer about it, he said "They all do that."

Wonder if a booster would help? Something like this maybe?
