Battery is Shot?

are batteries are sealed meaning you cant add water to them.

Did you test the battery with the car off? Oh and when you tested the batt did you let it run for a while or test it right away. Sadly our cars have some bs voltage regulation to prevent overcharging the battery so your alt should only be at 14.4 for a while then "rest" at 13.8 the rest of the time.

when i get some time im going to fully charge the battery and then check the voltage after six hours and see how much voltage it lost. if it looses a significant amount its shot.
