A lot of these songs listed will not hit low enough on anything but subwoofers to register anything significant. At least thats been my experience with the good bass songs, you need subwoofers or the bass and song sounds weak.

Sorry I didn't explain it more clearly for you to wrap your mind around what I was trying to say.
I think you missed the point I was making. I wasn't talking about how loud the bass was with/without subwoofers. I'm talking about bass notes being reproduced.
There are many bass songs out there that will reproduce bass with 6 1/2" full range drivers or regular car speakers, but your not hearing all of the bass in the song, its out of the range for the speakers to reproduce lower bass.
I've heard 18" subwoofers pick up bass notes that 15's barely did and 12's never did.

Yeah the frequency a sub plays at does make a big difference, and whether its porwered enough/properly. I'm right there with you, I've heard 6x9's hit better notes than cheap 10's
