you can do that but a ported box might as well get a real sub not a slim line. custom box would be nessecary

not only does it sound better but if your going to be removing it often you'll want something that's easy to do so. you can look around but most sub boxes aren't really made to go in and out of our small trunk openings

the one i was looking at is pretty small, its for a 12 and already ported. if anything i can fold the backseat and get it out that way, but im sure it will fit through the trunk opening.

Crisp clean sound, you would want a custom sealed box.

Since i switched cars I do miss my thumpin around town, but its too much work to do it all over again for me and dynomat the rattles out. It seems like a never ending project. But the once its done the sound is just awsome.

Any1 know if there is just a 10" sub that can be a direct replacement to the pioneer that comes stock that hits a little harder. Thats really the only thing I would do on my TC audio wise.

I'm currently working on my trunk, putting in 2 10 inch kenwoods. not going for anything huge just a little bump to the bass. I am putting the subs on the sides of the trunk covering the wheel wells. I know some people say that will cause distrortion since the subs will face each other, but others say it wont. I'm just doing it anyways to see if sounds nice and for looks.

finished one box on the weekend but havent installed it yet. havent had much time. but will have that done before the end of the week.

after reading all that it makes me think its not worth replacing stock sub, if u want bass u might as well put some money into it and get some real subs.

The wheel well seems like a good idea man, alot of work and probobly not as mobile as a regular small box. Why not just get a small portable box and wire it in. Lightweight, easily taken in and out through trunk, and will add sufficient bass. Not be the loudest in the world, but nothing portable will be the loudest ya know. I say its the best bet

x2 then mount the amp on the seat. all you have to do is unplug the sub wires(make sure they dont touch once you do so) and removal and re install is is cake

yea, i like custom boxes, they always sound the best. and i know i can just take out a little box for a 12. i am going to wait, and to the springs and other stuff first, so i can have plenty of time to think about what i want. and i know not to let the wires touch. everyone has found that out the hard way

^Well played. Stock speakers in SS dont sound too bad anyways. Certainly beat my 2.2 stock without the 7 speaker pioneer system. Thats why I wanted system so bad cause the bass was so distorted when I listened to "A Milli"
