Best SQ Subwoofer
I am already thinking of what subs to buy next...I just installed my 13w3v3's a couple weeks ago and they are loud but they sound a bit loose...I have them in a sealed box but it could be because they were used by 2 people previously...
I will probably be getting 2 10's and if I can keep using my MRP-M1000 that would work out great...
So any suggestions on a nice loud clean sub....10W6V2?? Infinity Kappa Perfect?? Diamond D6's? Im really looking for any 2 subs compatible with that amp...
Maybe Dynamat will solve my problems....

what people dont realize is that the majority of subs will sound the same, its everything around. the box the correct size. sound dampening. sound stage setup.
after that is dialed in then you can start to tell the difference in subs as far as SQ.
Cars have notoriously bad SQ in general.
i see u edited ur post.

I agree with originaladrian.
The sound that comes from your woofer is probably 92% the enclosure. I can take a cheap little 4" woofer and make it sound like a pair of low end 12's

Adire Audio Brahma 12"........ Oh wait theyve been out of business for 2 years already?
These are good subs but ive noticed the tinsel slap most prominent in vented enclosures where the mechanical limmits are being tested. if they had woven tinsel these might be my fave subwoofers on the market right now

By loose I mean they are real loud but they just dont give you that hard punch in the chest on quick notes...Almost like response time not sure how to describe it best..

ok... ya i know what you mean. Ultimately you have to realize the thump in your chest is from midbass. You can get very close but something like the door pods i have will smash the fastest subwoofer you can get your hands on... So with that said 2 10s might be a better option if the 13s aren't doing it for you
also one thing to check is your subs are going to need to be completely sealed. Meaning you push in on them and it takes a second before they pop back into place instead of happening instantaneously. While completely sealing the subs isnt going to fix the issue it should def help if they arent completely sealed already

^^ Ya when you press the sub in it take its a good 2-3 seconds to return to its original position..
Good to know about midbass drivers though I did not know that...

So play around and get a good idea of what you really "want" before you go out and buy anything. and if you want ill gladly try any music out you fell is missing whatever and let you know if that's more so in the midbass area

Throw them in a ported enclosure. That box allows more output and will pound your chest the way you want. I heard two of the w3 v2's in a ported box like this one on ebay, 250422080122, on a 1000/1. It was f**king ridiculous loud, almost not able to breath. Check this box you will not be disappointed.
