bypassing p4000

i have read all the threads on here and some on google on how to do this and i still cannot figure it out. What i did so far is wired a toggle switch, one wire going from the Radio Fuse to the switch, and the ground wire from the deck to the toggle switch. It didnt work. Any help

what? you wire a 2 way switch. one side to ground and one side to the parking brake wire

much better, cleaner, and professional


When using a regular 12V 30 Amp 5 Pin Relay.
Pin 87: ground
pin 85: ground
pin 86: amp turn on (from your deck)
pin 30: e-brake wire (from your deck)
pin 87a: not used

if you want but completely unnecessary, more expensive and doesn't give you control of the video. once you get pulled over just switch it back and "i don't know what your talking about officer the screen wasn't playing video... just on the screen saver, want me to turn it on and show you"
