The RMS is wat you want to be putting to them and not over 300 i'd say...a good 300/2 Amp from any good make like Alpine, Kenwood or kicker or somethin...that would do you well

I wouldn't push it with 300 watts... Thats it's max... Look for something 150 watts rms. If you're getting two, get either a 300 watt X 1 @ 4ohms or a 150 x 2 @ 4 ohms. Or if just one, 150 x 1 @ 4ohms.
Lambo said some good companies, Alpine, Kenwood, Kicker, JL Audio, JBL... etc etc

Marine grade
I would use a JL Audio or a Kicker Marine grade amp. Both are very dependable and if you have two of those, you can get a four channel so you can upgrade later to four of those on your tower. I just put two cans on a Mastercraft XD14 yesterday, I ran them with a JL Audio four channel and they sounded real good about fifty feet out fro the back of the boat. Just my two cents.

I use nothing but Alpine amps for door speakers. Definitely look into an older V-Power for the best bang for the buck or a PDX for some of the best out there. I've got a 400.4 PDX waiting to go into my ride with Type-R components and coax rears.
