Can you hook up a amp and sub to your stock cd/mp3 player

Is there anyway to hook up a amp and sub to the stock cd player or will i have to buy a aftermarket cd player? I have a 800 watt kenwood amp with a 12inch eclipse is this possible to set up?

If I'm not mistaken any one of these would work. The Rockford Fosgate ones require a PDA to set them up so that might be a hassle. Your best bet in my opinion is the JL Audio Clean Sweep. I am going to get it more than likely, its not too expensive and has alot of features. But like I said any one of them should do the trick.

Also crutchfield.com has very good stuff and help alot, but its a little pricey. You can probably find the same things cheaper somewhere else, just google it.

Forgot to add the JL CleanSweep also adds an auxiliary input if you where interested in one.

buy a high to low converter, tap high signal from rear 6x9's. the converter changes the signal to low level output and you plug your RCA's into there. done

Thats pretty much what the Clean Sweep is, with an added aux input and a master volume knob that controls the gain of any amp hooked up to it, like having a remote level bass knob. It also acts something like a line driver, restoring some of the sound quality that might have been lost.

Aux input works good for Ipods, mp3 players ect. Over all it looks like a great little unit.
