cant adjust 3rd gens?

i have a set of 3rd gen projector headlights, and i recently took them out cuz i cant get them adjusted from where they are pointed... which is about 5 feet in front of me...
and you have to keep taking the light out to adjust them and i did not notice any changes in the placement of the light so i took them out all together... anyone know anything about this?

and also... is it possible to put the actual clear lens off a housing from some stockers and make them fit on the 3rd gens? i havent looked to see if any of the clips are the same or anything.

any help would be awsome!!!
thanks

-Casey

The 3rd gens are like that, you have to crank on them forever to get them to go. Do it for a couple minutes, then when you think you have turn it enough give it a half dozen more just for ***** a giggles. It takes forever but sooner or later you will notice a difference.

The 3rds all came pointed 15 feet in front of the car so this is normal from my experiance, and having to take it out and put it back in every time you want to ajust it is one of the downfalls of projectors, I don't know what the hell they were thinking but I'm guessing not much

Like he said trial and error.
I think one of the bolts is for hi's and one for lows (beam) but I can't remember.

For some reason I want to say the one on the bottom...you'll just have to do what thye rest of us did....wing it.

You got to turn both bolts equally. Tighten to aim down and loosen to aim up

because the ones that come on the 3rd gens are kinda cheap and have tiny stress fractures in them. they are all parallel and you can see them when they are in the right light. i think its like that for all projectors.. but idk

My third gens are fine thus far, and have been on my car around a year, and went through last winter to boot. I don't know if the stock lens will fit perfectly on the projector housing, but the lines on the stock lens that normally separate the headlight from the signal light might get in the way of the projector beam.

thats good. did you adjust them? and i was looking at that but i think sense its more to the side it will be in the way of the high beam... that im not that worried about.

I had my 3rd gens spiderweb crack on me after about 6 months, it got really bad so I got 2nd generations. I have a 6000k kit, pissed me off had to get new bulbs for the 2nd gens (H7).
Now I'm getting rid of the 2nd gens, for a set of retrofits, I'm not happy with the light output from projectors, even with the 6000k fog light kit I just put in its still lacking compared to the stock housing.

Emp- The stock lights had a glass lens on them rather than the plastic one that comes on the aftermarket ones. I wanted to swap them to, but decided it wasn't worth breaking the seal on them for.

Look at it this way, if the stock lights used glass lenses, they'd be heavy as ****.
