Question Damaged Speaker, Can I Fix It?

I have a set of JBL P-532 speakers and I loved them. They are 5 1/4 size. The one speaker isn't working.

No sound come out of the speaker. I press down on the out edge of the cone near the surrounds to test the travel and the feeling of the travel is rough and almost, hm, crunchy?

What is this?

Is there a remedy?

Thank you all.
