it's a bypass control module
what unit are you useing ??
some units just need to be grounded or have a constant 12v source to the sensor wire.. on alpine wich is what i have it needs a delaybetween the parking break lead and the foot break lead sensor

Three options
1) Find the factory override code online, if not proceed to
2) Go to a car audio shop and ask if they have the factory override code, might have to pay for it or something but if not possible then
3) Ground a rocker switch and connect it to the E-Brake wire to trick your unit.

i have never heard of a factory override... it is illeagle to have it on when your driving, you have to find a small shop and see if they can do it for you. if not google it and see what you come up with like i said it's usualy grounding a wire or attaching a wire to a 12v source to imitate a break light.. and with alpine it;s an actual module you have to install

The modules are rip offs, don't buy them off ebay, if you can find a module then most likely you can find the factory override code if you look hard enough. Factory override codes are the codes car audio shops use to display the dvd functions of mobile media without the hassle of having a parking brake wired to it. Generally, the code is entered through the remote control of the unit and has a specific sequence of buttons followed by the input of a combination of numbers.

i was going to attach the wire to a constant 12v source for my indash. it turns out that you need to be able to pull the ebrake up and then down and then back up for my deck. its kinda wierd. im seeing if there is a way i can just apply a switch or something like that.
i just did a google search for my deck and found a code that unlocks it. i searched: Jensen 9312 bypass code. try searching that on google but just put your model insted of mine. you should be able to find something.
anyone know what the ticket is for having a movie playing while you're driving?
