i'm planning on getting the pioneer avic-f700 soon from crutchfield.
does anyone know if the included package that comes with all that stuff from crutchfield is all i'll need to keep my door chimes, blinker sounds, and steering wheel controls?
it comes with:
the navigation receiver (of course)
the antenna adapter
the PAC GM integration adapter (i'm assuming this is the gm lan harness? let me know if those aren't the same)
and instruction manuals. anything else i would need?

Door Chimes in 05?
I thought I heard somewhere that the 05 SS S/C without Onstar
didn't need the GMLAN Box for the door chimes.
Anyone here go through this with a 05 SSSC?
I don't need the relay box for the steering wheel controls, I am running a CarPC, and I need a FusionBrain (and to set it up).
I'm curious on the 05 chime thing, though.
Also, the inputs for the amp, if I were running a headunit with, say, no speaker level outputs(only RCA's) what would be the easiest way to connect it to the amp?
I have a 4x25 Pioneer Amp, but was looking to keep the trunk as clean as possible.
Thanks in advance.

On a scale of 1-10(10 being the most difficult)how difficult was this install for everyone? I'm planning on isntalling a HU upon my return from overseas and I just won't have very much patience. About how long did this install take everyone? Where any special tools needed?
Thanx

I see someone installed a Avic-F90bt, I have been looking at the f700bt, f900bt, and f90bt, how did you decide (or what made you choose) on the f90bt unit? I'm pretty sure that DVD playback it going to be needed so I am between the 900 and 90.....Any help would be apreciated. (I have no Ipod)

I think there is about $100 difference, BUt as far as I can tell, there is a included Ipod Cord on the f90bt, a 2 year warrentee (that I probably wont get ordering online anyway) and 4 volt pre outs, the f900bt has a 1 year warrentee, 2 volt pre outs, and no ipod cord. I could not find any other differneces, if you can please let me know. (I have no Ipod and most likely never will.)

Anyone know the difference between the 90bt and the 900bt? A local shop is trying to get me to buy the 900bt on sale for 899.95. I read up on the 90bt and is seems to have everything that the 900 seems to have. I used a link above and found the 90bt for $560!
