in dash question

if i was to install a indash would i be able to use the volume buttons and the buttons to change the stations on the in dash like i did on the factory stereo?

if you hassle with a steering wheel interface yes. but just swapping the stereos no

You will need to get a kit to retain the wheel controls. They're a pain in the ass and expensive.

they are not a pain in the ass , and not exspensive, just bought mine at work for 60 bucks and installed it in 10 mins!

Actually installing and programming the pac was much easier for me than installing the LAN or running the wires (did the entire system though)....

I think the pac is a hit or miss thing...sometimes you get one that takes the programming on the first shot and then others that have to be programmed multiple times in order for everything to take or lose their programming later down the road (doesn't make sense but it still seems to be the case)...
