thanks.. I will do that tonight. I have blown several HIDs and only thing I can think of is the constant on/off pulling in/out of garage..

Pull your DRL fuse. It'll blow HIDs more often than turning them on and off with the auto lights.

DRL...Daytime Running Lights...they run at a lower voltage than full power and will screw with HID ballasts.

nono, what I am saying is my 1 HID worked, the other i do think blew... but i put the stock lights back in and never checked the fuses.. Everything in my car worked however, when I just (last night) installed the new HID's, I went to pull the DRL fuse and realized it was blown.

But everything worked fine... so I am asking what the fuse actually did?

Interested in the auto on/off function also... I've ordered a set of 6K HIDs and I know when I install them the DRL fuse MUST be taking out, BUT I've already tried this when I take the fuse out my auto lights still come on during the day. And I don't want my HIDs running during the day for no reason or keep turning them off when ever I turn my car on.. It's hot in FL I don't need any extra heat in or on my headlight lens's lol

DRL makes your low beams to come on during the day. If you install a relay harness (which is recommended with hids) you do NOT need to remove the DRL fuse. As for the auto on/off function there's a thread on how to install a resistor so the sensor always think its day... You then need to turn on your headlights manually!
